Hello and welcome to my page! I'm a research scientist in the Digital Economy Lab at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI). I specialize in research on economic measurement, statistics and indicators to provide a better evidence base for public policy. Since 2018 I am Research Associate at the Economic Statistics Centre of Excellence (ESCoE) which has been created to address the challenges of measuring modern economies. Before joining Stanford University I was at the OECD and based in Paris, working on improving the measurement of drivers of trust in government and public institutions. I have also worked as a Senior Economist at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) in London and a Fellow at the Office for National Statistics (ONS). I am excited about the measurement of modern and digital economies using a mix of micro and macroeconomic tools. I have co-lead research projects on the measurement of welfare, the value of data, output and productivity in an increasingly digital and services-based economy. I received my MSc and PhD from the London School of Economics and I also hold a BSc from the Utrecht University, School of Economics.
